We bring our expertise in education, technology and business to our forward-thinking college, community college and high school partners in an effort to simplify their worlds while positively impacting students. College Access! We are focused on breaking down the communication and information barriers that surround the college admissions and financial aid processes. We believe that if we can provide solutions to more effectively manage the administrative tasks surrounding the college process, then counselors, parents and admission officers will be free to spend more time building relationships and guiding students. And we are confident that better communication and information tools coupled with more direct interactions between students and their advisors will positively impact college access.
In 2002, our founder, Craig Powell, after having experienced a broken college admissions and financial aid process, set out to fix the problems he and his peers had faced. ConnectEdu began by assisting 100 different families from various socio-economic backgrounds through the college and admissions process. Utilizing the lessons learned from these families, ConnectEdu began working with students, parents, guidance counselors, admission officers, transfer advisors and employers to develop a comprehensive solution to simplify college admissions. After 2 years of development and testing, ConnectEdu launched Connect! at the National Association of College Admissions Counselors conference in the Fall of 2005. Today, Connect! is the largest and fastest growing “going-to-college” portal in the United States. And, our work and story has just begun!
