NACAC’s 64th Annual National Conference

NACAC 2008 – Our Favorite Time of Year
You know them… The people who live and die for the holidays and their fruitcake. Your friends who tan all year long for their Caribbean vacation in February. And those of us at ConnectEDU who can’t wait to cross the country for NACAC. This year, NACAC 2008 in Seattle was no exception and provided the perfect opportunity to learn first-hand what’s happening in college admission counseling.
From each corner of the exhibit hall, the dominant discussion was the budget crisis gripping every sector in the U.S. More and more high schools were approaching our booth to learn about a free solution that would actually save them money immediately. Colleges were equally interested in finding ways to streamline efficiencies in admissions and recruitment that would have an impact on their dwindling budgets. They wanted to know what leaders in our network were doing to make a difference. Our ConnectEDU Awards for Excellence provided a snapshot.
ConnectEDU awarded nine high schools and five colleges the Award for Excellence for their progressive deployment of a ConnectEDU platform, either Connect! or Prep Headquarters, and for their innovation in college admission counseling or college admission respectively. Congratulations to all of our winners!
